Thinking you are depressed is being 12.
First stop taking pills, sniffing air freshener or anything else. If doing these things are not the cause of your depression they are NOT helping.
When you are 12 it seems grownups are always on your case. Every 12 year old feels this way. You are beginning to grow up and starting to see and feel things differently than when you were little. This can be very disturbing.New hormones are starting to make changes in your mind and body. Be glad for this and try to enjoy the changes.
It is time you should be seeing a doctor to make sure you are OK and on schedule. Try to talk to the doctor alone and tell him/her what you have written.
Relax and enjoy yourself. Don't take everything so seriously. You have lot of company in your concerns. In less than ten years(not an eternity) you will wonder what was the problem.

You are depressed and you are not alone. Stop the pills and the sniffing thing that will do nothing for you. If you tried to seek help from a teacher or counselor and that does not work just walk into an emergency room and explain your situation. Or even a Doctors office. They can put you on the right track so you can feel better about yourself and life in general. You are young person with many GOOD things to see and experience. You have a lot to offer to society, your friends and even strangers. Just try what I said and you will see how much greater life will seem once you resolve your problems.

Listen sweetheart, no matter what anyone says, it's completely possible to be depressed at the age of 12.
I went through a lot of things when I was young and still suffer from depression.. I just got back into therapy and it helps so much..
What you need to do is find someone you trust a lot and ask them for help..
STOP HUFFING!!!
pills don't help, razors only cause trouble, guns hurt the people around.
Just think of how your friends and family would feel if you weren't around..
Nothing is EVER bad enough to harm yourself over..
Take it from me sweetie, I have a horrid relationship with my mum, my parents just divorced last year, my sister left her husband because he hit her...
There isn't just one specific person out there that has it worse than everyone else, believe life WILL get better!!
Good Luck...

you sound like a very smart young person. which is why I can't understand why you're not handling this situation better than what you're doing. first of all.depression has no age limit. it can happen to anyone. there are a lot of kids your age who are at this time going through the same thing you are. believe it or not, when you're growing up,mostly all of us have some kind of problem with our moms or dads. when you have sister's or brother's.you can get together and talk about it,and how to work it out.its harder when you're the only one. but what you do then is to talk about it with the school councilor or another adult who you know will listen to you and give you a chance to tell your story. and if that don't work, find a policeman and tell him the same thing you wrote to us.and do exactly what he tells you to do.he will stick with you until he's sure you're OK.moms and dads aren't so bad.they just want us to be the best kids out of all the rest. so sometimes they push to hard.but they mean well.they always love us no matter what we do.sometimes it helps to tell them when it makes us feel bad.because then they'll try to work something out with you that will make you feel better. and agree too. its major dumb.to be taking diet pills, and sniffing air freshener. only babies would do something like that, because they don't know any better.you do because you are a big boy.you know these things can kill you.how do you expect someone to miss you if they don't know you're dead? mom don't know you're hurting so bad because you won't tell her.give her a chance to show you how much she loves you,and tell her about your feelings.if she does not listen.then you must do exactly what I said. some day when you grow up,you are going to learn that your mom is your best and only true friend in the whole wide world.trust me sweetie and tell her or someone.

well, you have pretty much shot down all the advice that i could give you. stop taking the diet pills thay aren't going to be any help to you. have you tried talking to your school counselor? you might start there when school starts again. the only other thing i can think of is for you to call the division of family of services and tell them exactly what you wrote here. they would talk to your mom and to your grandmother.if they find anything wrong they would remove you from the home and put you in a foster home. as to your question are you depressed. YES you are aand the only way that it is going to go away is with professional help.

Yea I do think you are depressed possibly. And Its even worst by reading this post that you said youre sniffing air freshner, that can have adverse health effects as you know. Please don;'t do that. I understand you may not want to seek a counselor but you know that depression is a serious ailment. Please seek help.....It will not get better on its own :/ And with a counselor they can provide drugs or other things that can help you :( And please stop the diet pills, you are harming yourself and you KNOW thats bad :/ No-one can help those who don't want to be helped. Getting help may seem like its the most difficult thing in the world however later you'll look back and be glad you did.

Your friend cares about you and is concerned. The air freshener can really hurt you! People have died doing that.
I think you are depressed. Can you talk to your grandma or your friend?
I think you need to get some help. If you could talk to your friends and also maybe get professional help, that would be good.
How do you get along with your grandmama? Can you tell her all this? Is there a counselor at school you could confide in? What about a minister?
Good luck to you. I wish you well.

you are in the brilliant place of realising it is you, YOU, who is in control of your life. you get to choose what you will and will not be happy with. your mum may not be exactly as you would wish, but thats all about her... you however, at just 12, are mature enough to know that you can and will atke control of your life and decide what is going to go on.
the air freshner thing i guess is escapism... we all do it now and again, so don't beat yourself up, but i doubt it makes you feel good in the long run.. does it?
look at it like this.. you can be a passenger in your life.. and let someone else decide how you feel and what is happening, or you can "drive the bus" yourself.. pick your destination and go there.
and you are not alone, we all get depressed at times in our lives, about stuff that is going on. my sons father killed himself, i got depressed about that, but he killed himself because he was ill - he was suffering from an illness called depression - thats different to being depressed about stuff.. does that make sense? i hope so..
i know you say counselling is not what you want - but there is a reason there are counsellors.. .... its because we need them.. they serve a purpose & you could use a little support right now.
if you'd like to e-mail me, thats fine.
good luck

Huffing is the one of the worst things you can do . The damage to the brain is swift and severe. You must get help! If you don't, you will end up a traumatized emotionally unstable drug addict. There are people who can and will help you but you are going to have to be willing to let them
