Can i use my greendot prepaid mastercard/visa right after i buy it at the store?

Can i use it once i buy it at the store or do i have to wait a week for them to send me the card in the mail to use it?

You generally have to wait a week until you get your card to use it in stores!
That is the only way I buy anything on line or over the phone or from the TV info-mericials.
Charge it up with only; the amount the item is going to cost. That way if someone does get your number they are not going to be able to rip you off.
