You are correct, sir. I do not believe these folks are even aware of the legal status of the folks they are making these remarks about. Because they are Hispanic, they automatically brand them as illegal. Too bad they forgot only a generation or two earlier their forefathers were in the same predicament - namely doing whatever it takes to make it in a land of opportunity.
I think many of these macho types with the big swagger are actually jealous that a man 50 pounds less in weight will work them under the table on a regular basis and with a lot less noise and complaining.

Why do people like you have to play the race card? Only a few racist redneck idiots say anything about Hispanics in general. Most of us have a problem with ILLEGAL ALIENS.
As far as creating more conflict, are you an idiot yourself? The conflict stems from people coming here illegally and demanding that we not only accept their lawbreaking, but we also give them all the rights, services, and benefits as a legal person is entitled to.
Yes racism and hate do create more racism and hate. So it should be understood why Americans would hate someone coming to their country illegally and telling them to look out, we are taking over, deal with it, and other statements. It is anti-white racists like you who cause the race conflict, the majority of us just hate all illegals no matter their color or race.
As far as widening the gap and forcing the Hispanics to "push back"; get a clue. The illegals are doing the pushing right into our country, and some racist Hispanics are choosing race over country.
Why is it that whites are racist, but other people are just loyal to their ethnic heritage?

Hispanic is not a race. We are not racist against Hispanics or any of the illegals. Illegal immigration is NOT a racist issue! It is only about our laws!!!
So you don't like the statement "they're illegal criminals and should go back to Mexico." What about the comment is incorrect? They are illegal. They are CRIMINALS because they are breaking the law. AND, if they are from Mexico, they "should go back to Mexico." You may not like it but TOUGH! It's an accurate statement!
So, you are right on one thing. It is BS when you call us racists, "even if you say otherwise."
What part of ILLEGAL don't you understand? The "race card" is not appropriate.
I assume that you have run out of logical arguments because the race card usually comes our when you have nothing left!

Yes, this has absolutely become a race issue. It's not just about immigration or else they would include all races in the debate.
There is actually a huge numbers of Asian illegals in California, but no one wants to mention that. They keep saying "Mexicans make up the majority", but there are still millions from other countries that are also "taking" your jobs.
And certain white t.v. commenters Lou Dobbs, Bill O'Reilly, and others have made a career out of hounding Mexicans, legal or illegal. They were just old & washed-up, and managed to revive their careers by making immigration a race issue. Oh, and don't get me started on those racist radio jockeys with their loud, silly voices yakking non-stop nonsense about Hispanics. And every election year, there's a talentless Republican politician way down in the polls who uses race and hatred in order to get votes. First it was with the Blacks, now the Mexicans.
But with Hispanics being the largest minority in this country, it would be wise for people to stop their hate towards them and work with them, because in the near future you will probably be working FOR them!

I dont have a problem with illegal hispanics. Ive had many friends that were illegal aliens. Any person Ive ever met from another country was nothing but polite to me. My grandparents came from other countries, legally of course through Ellis Island. Im not racist BUT they are illegal. Hence the term Illegal alien. I think it offends people that pay taxes to see people that don't. Plus after 9/11 it's a little scary to see how easily people can just come into this country.

I see your point, HOWEVER- your phrasing is going to put people on the defensive. You're right in saying that racism creates more racism and hate creates more hate, but I think this question is a participant in that cycle as well. By pointing a finger a laying blame people will be defensive and it will perpetuate a feeling of hate back and forth. While you are well intention, you're not helping.

SO...what are you saying? That by not agreeing with ILLEGAL immigration, regardless of color of skin, people are "white racists?" That is a serious allegation...Why can't you people get it into your heads that the thing that bothers people is the ILLEGAL part...regardless of if they came from England, switzerland, Mexico, etc...why should anyone feel bad for people who are breaking the law? Try going to France and demanding a free stay and tax free living....See, it does not matter WHERE they come from, its HOW they do it...and why are you only singling out Hispanics? I know many Mexicans that are here, some illegally, and they are the hardest workers i know...and they are in the process of getting their citizenship here in the US...Again, with me, it is a matter of breaking the law...we are granting amnesty to those who have to sneak over here...If you must sneak over, avoid detection, and hide in trunks of cars in some cases, doesnt something seem obiously wrong????

I am not a racist but if something is ill legal it is wrong. The laws were made for a reason why should those who break the law be placed in front of those who are legally trying to enter America. If you feel that way you are the one who is discriminating against the honest immigrants that makes you the racists.

Listen nice guy.. If the illegal weren't here, I don't think we would have the issues we are dealing with.. They are bringing crime to our country, they are taking jobs away and costing us tons of money.. So I dont' think its a racist issue, but one of national security and one of coming to America like our grandparents did... Why should they be any different in how we allow them to be here in this country? I don't want to have to pay for them, I guess you do.... Get rid of welfare, bring these jobs to those people that are sucking us dry while being potatoes on their couches....

"you guys are widening the gap between cultures, if you push the hispanics they will try to push back, hispanics that were previously indifferent of the matter are now pulling together in favor of the illegal immigrants after seeing all your racist remarks."
I was indifferent about the matter, until I came here...
THIS IS EXACTLY WHY I SUPPORT AMNESTY TODAY, I am Hispanic and cringe when these people make hate speech against Latinos....They keep pushing the issue and making it about race, they will continue alienating Hispanics to support amnesty!....Great question, a star for you....
