I have a coloured dragonfly on my back. its about 2.5-3 inches long and wingspan is about 2-2.5 inches across and I paid $80 for it so maybe $100-$120 for something the size you want it to be

I agree with the cpt on that regarding skin color. For a dragonfly to look really nice, there has to be enough contrast to see through the lacy wings and have some shadowing or it doesn't look so nice. Also, it is impossible for professional tattoo artists to quote prices. What is done with one dragonfly in one studio will be far different in another.
Additionally location is a huge difference. In some areas of the country, a $40 minimum is fine. My crew is not allowed to charge less than $70 minimum or I don't pay our bills - it';s as simple as that!

if that is the case, it depends on how dark you are........the
colors will not turn out the way you would like, and in sum places it won't be seen at all.

it all depends on the size of the tattoo, where you get it done at.
