While many spend most of their time in the New Testament the Old and the New are taken as a whole.
The Old Testament contains all of the prophesies of the Christ and the New testifies to that event.
Anyone who would say that one is Jewish and the other Christian is ignorant of the Christian Church as it is at its very core Jewish.
All of the first Christians were Jews, Christ came as King of the Jews.
He came first to the Jews and then to the Gentiles (the rest of us)
He is God's promise to the world made in the Old Testament and fulfilled in the New.

Not that I know of. The Old Testament has some wonderful "life lessons"- actions and consequences - from which we can all learn. The New Testament wasn't written to take aways history but to record the teachings of Jesus Christ - who is the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophesies. If we didn't have the Old Testament, we wouldn't know that Jesus fulfilled God's promises.

yes and no...

I don't know about actual names and such but the group I hang out with places a huge emphasis on the New Testament while only going to the Old once in a blue moon. All inspired yes but the Old is only shadows of the New so why not just stick with the New?

They all want to disown the OT, since it's associated with Judaism.

That would be all of them.

They all say that Jesus fulfilled the OT and it is no longer valid.
