My TV only has a DVI imput so I run my DVD player and Satalite receiver into a HDMI switch box which runs to the DVI imput in my TV.

No loss of quality whatsoever. Your signal will remain digital and in it's purest form. If your switch box had an analog o/p than you could have very minor loss.

Kinda depends on the length of cable, and the quality of the cable. If you're running 28AWG over 15ft on each cable, then you could run into a problem.

it all depends on this "switch box" now, if you were running everything through a AV switcher, (home theater system) then there might be some degregation, again it all depends on the the equipment.

No Loss (in digital signals, you either get it or not)

But make sure the switch box supports DHCP.
