I have family from Canada and yes, it is nice to have health care available when you need it. That being said, there are problems with the Canadian health care system such as not being able to see a specialist in a timely manner. My uncle actually died due to the fact that he couldn't see a specialist when he needed it. He had to wait for over two months and by that time it was really too late. If he had been able to see the specialist he could have lived for at least five to ten more years. I know that there are other incidents that are similar to my story. Also realize that the taxes are exceedingly high and that the entire country of Canada has fewer people than the United States. We need to do something about the health care system, but I am not sure following the Canadian model is necessarily the best route.

Canadians decide for their very own medical doctors and are entitled to a 2d opinion. the huge bonus with regard to the Canadian wellness care gadget is emergency care is presented in spite of income. A welfare recipient does not could complication approximately huge expenditures could a baby choose care. Or going to a health facility to get a prescription for antibiotics. Or seeing a kin typical practitioner greater often than not. some amenities require charge, however, like dentistry and optometry, and a few workplace work for coverage companies, yet those are greater the exceptions than the guideline. And the affected person will pay for prescriptions besides. At a pharmacy. Like individuals. confident, scientific institution waits are long, yet precedence is given to severe sufferers, purely as American hospitals do. An American could think of two times and ailment does not discriminate. an entire community would desire to grow to be affected. I advise no offence, yet particularly situations something of the international wonders why, in a rustic so great with maximum of gifted medical doctors and drugs attainable, could everybody fairly have attractiveness surgical technique for themselves in the event that they knew that worry-unfastened wellness care needs weren't being met by potential of decrease income families. Sorry, yet no commerce.

It is arguable who has a better health-care system. I prefer Canada's, though.
You also forgot one thing; Canada's taxes are 2-3 times higher than in the U.S.
The U.S. government also takes care of its immigrants and citizens, and Canada is actually in Afghanistan right now with the U.S.
I think not spending a lot on national defense can be dangerous. There are several areas where they could attack us that would cripple all of North America's economy (like the Ambassador Bridge), and then it would be difficult to protect Canadian residents.

Maybe you think so, but US does not need it, we are smarter than that. US does take care of their citizens and immigrants. We will be happy to give you about 12 million more immigrants, if you have the authority to except them , and with no returns....please. So, since you called Republicans warmongers, guess you do not live in Canada, or you would know that Democrats voted for war also, as they should have. Oh!! and if you decide to sell Canada, US will buy it.

Please, you are apparently listening to liberal garbage again. My sister is married to a Cannadian. Their health care systems is almost bankrupt due to immigrants!! Their health care system is seriously flawed and costs the cannadian citizens a great deal of money through taxes. Plus since everything in their health care is regulated, you do not get the best of care because their best doctors practice here! If you like Canada so much, move there. I can assure you that if Hillary gets in office as president, I am.

First, Canadians come to the US in significan numbers for health care. Many Drs come down this way as well. As a matter of fact ALL my doctors are Canadian and moved to escape a failing system.
Canada does have a smaller population and military budget. Who is it that watches out for you again??

Canada has small defense budget
Our defense budget is bigger than Canada's entire budget
Canada has a fiscally responsible government
Our government buys $500 toilet seats
No, it wouldn't work here.
