I feel kinda bad for Almirola, it was counted as his first Busch win, however, he didn't cross the finish line, Hamlin did, he didn't get to do burnouts or go celebrate in Victory Lane. I think they should have just let Almirola finish the race and not put Hamlin in. Just my opinion, what do you guys think??

Yeah Hamlin did say he didn't wanna, and it wasn't his call, but whoever made that call, was wrong.

I think it was the wrong thing to do pulling Almirola out of the car. Denny Hamlin was late, and Almirola quailified on the pole and led 43 laps before they pulled him out. I think if Denny came in on time then it would have been justified but Denny came late to the race so its his own fault and they should have allowed Almirola to finish the race. I feel bad for the guy, he was really upset about it too. I think anyone would be if you think about it.

I thought the same thing. That Hamlin should had just gone back to Sonoma and let Almirola have that race. Although Hamlin said it wasn't his decision on that, he said he was willing to let Almirola finish the race, but someone called the shots of switching them two out. But Almirola did practice the car and qualify it for pole position, he should have gotten to stay in the car.

You are absolutely right. There's nothing else to say really. I hate it for Almirola because I'm sure that did not feel like a win for him. I know he feels like it got stolen away from him and that would be a tough pill to swallow, even if it is your teammate. But at least Hamlin was giving him some credit where credit was due.

Its BS, that Gibbs and the #20 team and sponsor pulled that kinda of stunt. Almirola was doing good.... Thats a shame they feel they have to have Dummy Hamlin to win a damn race!

Yeah Hamlin said he didn't want to. But he still did. He's just as bad as the rest of the Gibbs team! Almirola to RCR!

Leave Almirola in the car. To me the cup drivers have no businsess running in Busch. I thought that program was to develop drivers and find new talent. Now it seems like it is where the Cup drivers can go and overshadow developing drivers to boost their ego since they are not competing well in the Cup.

Almirola was doing a great job and would have won anyway, they should have left him in that car.

I do feel bad for Aric because like you said he didn't get to have fun with his first win. He got jiped out of it. He lead how many laps before Hamlin was there? And he still got shafted. As soon as they could get him out of that car they did. I hate it for Aric because he raced his hardest and still gets credit for the win just with out all the fun of victory lane.

Denny should have either been there on time, no matter what or stood his ground and REFUSE to get into the car. Not fair to the other guy at all!
