If it was a pay site that you had to pay to access it. I think if it was a pay site there would be alot less of the petty truly sick questions. Because its easy to access answers from many different accounts to block who they are. If they had to pay for it , alot wouldnt... By atleast 40%

Yes they could charge if they wanted too.... I think they will eventually . MSN used to be free, they now charge for access to the chatrooms, They chage 10.62 a month for that. I do have it but only for the advanced email features.

No, I wouldn't pay to use it. I just use this site when there isn't anything else to do.
I think that you're right though, there would be less stupid questions on here, but there are people stupid enough to keep using it anyway....

I wouldn't come here if I had to pay to use the service, and I'm one of the ones who has some pretty strong scientific background and takes care to (almost always) answer with well-thought out answers, researched if necessary.
There are services where you can pay for an answer - I think google runs one?
Sadly, a lot of the people here cannot tell BS from honest answers. It's a problem. But then think of the ones who read the real answers, and are helped.
I do think that perhaps a warning on some forums that there are twits here would be appropriate, something like not to take advice given here as medical advice, but to seek medical assistance if your condition (or your child's) is serious.

Yes, I would still use it.
I think if it was a pay site, but with a minimal charge, that minimal charge would deter alot of people from hiding behind many accounts because they'd have to pay every time they created a new one.
I agree that people should only answer if they truly know the answer because they are affecting innocet babies and children.
This was a great question! :-)

I wouldnt pay anything.
Why limit it to this section, there are other catagories also where dumb answers are given. LIke the edical section also where a life might be in danger if a wrong answer given, but its the person asking the question to do the right choice. Your given opinions here
Its the persons choice to follow the answers given by unknown people who may or may not know what they are talking about. You will get this from any site form any person.
It's just the persons responsibilty to do the right thing.
Over all the Y!Answers is not responsible for peoples stupidity only the people them self are.

i know, i think if you don't know an answer to a question, just press back and drive on until u find a question you can answer. Your not only wasting that persons time reading your answer, you waste your time making an ars outta yourself.
Honestly, i think it would cut more than 40% of the people on this yahoo answers. people don't like to pay for anything, and some people just can't b/c of being too young.

You are right, exactly 40% of people would not access it.
I feel insulted when people give silly answers. The other day my friend asked how to lose weight. Somebody answered that she should have colonic irrigation to remove old big macs, number plates and tennis balls. Like her bowel is some kind of garage full of old things.
I would hate to be inside their sick heads, those 40% (not 41% or 39%, clearly).

No, this is just a time wasting site for me and in the meantime I may be able to prevent a teenage pregnancy or help a new mom with her breastfeeding.
I wouldn't pay for this though.

I wouldn't use it if they charged me for it. I don't think people just get their reference from here and if they do they should also check other sites. as to people putting dumb answers you could always give them a thumbs down and other people would see how many thumbs down they have

I wouldn't answer anymore, 'cause i find Answer nice also because it's free... if I have to pay to solve other people's problems, i wouldn't partecipate anymore. I know that it would help 4 all the stupid people that make Answer bad and stupid, but it's not a gd sistem, 'cause a lot of people wouldn't be part of it anymore...
;-) Kisses
