are there any bad side effects of these live and active cultures in yogurt?

constipation is the only thing that can happen but you would have to eat a lot of it or be regular already before eating some. these bacteria aren't some kind of invention. they are part of a natural human diet. sauerkraut is another option, not as tasty but packed much fuller of good bacteria.

I think the yogurt companies promoting this is just another marketing gimmick. If one reads between the lines of the Dannon commercials, then they're actually quite funny. One of them featured a woman who complained that her system was out whack because she had been working long hours and eating too much takeout. Gee, I'm sure the poor self-care habits have nothing to do with that.

The other commercial says that stress can weaken the immune system. Yeah, and in the commercial, the dad turns off the rock music. Gee, ya think that eliminating external sources of stress might help?

I don't eat yogurt. I eat healthy and get plenty of fiber and I'm regular. I'm blessed with a low-stress life and my immune system is strong. Also, if this stuff is like regular yogurt, then it's likely high in sugar as well. I see no need for this stuff for me.
