wow!! you have the exact same hair i do except mines is wavy, curly, and puffy on top of being totally frizzy. And i have long brown hair. Well, i used to be wondering about the same thing u did soo much because i tried lots of things that would straighten my hair. I then went to a salon and they used a flat iron with a sleek spray and it made my hair sooo soft and straight. I would recommend a flat iron with a sleek spray. After you take a shower, make sure your hair is all dry, and then take a small section of your hair, spray it with sleek spray, and then flat iron it, and so do the same until yuor whole hair is straight and not frizzy. You can either go to a salon to have the specialists straighten it for yyou or buy an expensive flat iron ( the cheap ones r a rip-of trust me!) I hope this helps. GOOD LUCK!!

Depends some of my clients I use a straightner, then flat iron. for Chemical free press it out with a hot comb then use a flat iron for your styling I would suggest a wrap it will keep your hair straighter longer., I suggest using Kemi-Oyl because it won't weigh your hair down like grease or other oils.

I currently use a straightener and i have the same hair type as you.
I heard that hot combs make your hair really frizzy when it's humid outside.
Plus make sure you use a spray that minimizes the damage to your hair each time you straighten it or you'll just fry it.

I would go with a 1 to 2 inch flat iron for your hair. It's done wonders on mine! Chi has some nice flat irons (althought they might be a little expensive).

I highly recommend getting the wet to set remmington brand hair straightener, it uses steam to dry your hair and you can use it while your hair is wet. It works much better than a ceramic straightener and is a steal for 30 bucks at target!

Heat in general kills your hair, so really none of them
But if you must use eat, a flat iron works well, but only use it a few times a month
