I don't think NASCAR was out to screw Hendricks; but they did go too far this time. The rule was not on the books and to penalize the 24 and 48 Team for a rule that was not on the books is totally unjust.
I expect Hendricks to appeal this and appeal hard. I would not be suprised if this would up in court (since it's obvioous NASCAR likes going there lately.)
One thing is for sure; the Junior Nation can stop whining and crying about NASCAR favoring Hendricks.

Jr's infractions were found to not be intentional , on the other hand Gordon and Johnson were intentional. They deserve what they get and it is not the first time Chad Knouse has done something illegal!! They got caught and time to pay the piper....

Hey, I was shocked they even got in trouble, seems NASCAR only likes punishing the ones who dont win every race.
They do need to start being fair on who gets what punishment for doing what. they are really inconsistent. Its never the same punishment for the crimes.
Future example--Tony Stewart gets mad and decides he will pull up beside Jeff Gordon on pit road. Tony will have to sit out so many race, pay a huge fine, and lose lots of point.
Nothing will ever be done about the inconsistency of punishments because it is all about $$$$$$MONEY$$$$$$$

Nascar did call it a Grey area. All the teams do it but not everyone gets caught.

Yes, they are using them as an "example", I think. I suppose they will be taking away a lot more points than usual too. I personally believe the crew chiefs should be penalized, not the drivers. It wasn't them that did it. Fire Knaus. I can't stand the man.

It's Nascars way of ruining the sport,Im not sure how long it will be before Nascar hauls 43 cars to the track and hands them out to the racers.Oh wait thats called iroc.Nascar is working hard on making crew chiefs irrelevent to the sport.

I simply think that Hendrick made a mistake and got caught. It happens, but Hendrick screwed themselves.

It's time for HMS to be screwed, or have bad luck. They've been babied all year long, it's time to show them they baby games are over. They created those fenders for a reason thinking they could get away with it, and therefore they deserve to be penalized.

It sures looks that way! Maybe this is the only way the other teams have a chance. But I'm not counting the 24 car out completely. If anyone can win from that far back it will be him.
I don't understand it either.
