Just wanted to know if it was possible to at least believe in an "intelligent force" of some sort.

Matters of faith are always variable. Just because someone is an atheist now doesn't mean that they might believe later. Conversely someone who is very devout may lose their faith.

As for the intelligent force, that sounds a little like Deism, which is the idea that there is a force behind the universe but that it doesn't directly interfer with our daily lives. Many of the US founding fathers were actually deists.

"Intelligent force" is contrary to experience, sweetie. Religions are faith based, (and leaps of faith over, and over and over again in the face of solid scientific evidence.....) not science based.

Most atheists are very educated people, and give up fairy tales when presented with logic. I have never met an uneducated nor stupid atheist. Cannot say the same for those who still believe in sky daddies.

Yes....totally possible if it is what you really want! Go back to the intersection of life where you lost faith and chose to go down the road of Atheism.....then choose the alternate route by sincerely asking God (your "intelligent force") to reveal himself to you in a way that will be meaningful to you....he will be more than happy to oblige.

Your question is slightly confusing. Do you mean an atheist could go back to religion after losing their faith? Yes, that's possible. It happens occasionally. If you're asking if we can believe in other things besides God, well...duh.

A real, true, educated atheist can't, unless they suffer brain damage or post-traumatic stress.

You will hear numerous theists claim that they were once atheists, but the chances are they were just ignorant dolts who hadn't really thought about the matter very much before they got religion.

Yeah - you can find it. Ask without your own intelligence being your God or listening to the many who think their mind is God. You may be surprised what you start understanding. If you have an open heart and mind - it won't be the traditional religion of today.

I believe in a force sure. Will I ever believe in God again? No, I am happy where I am.

How can you lose faith if you are an atheist?

I seriously wonder, if any Atheist ever had genuine faith in God before they became an Atheist.

I've actually never met one who had.

But to answer you question, I believe the answer is yes.

You already have it right. There IS NO GOD!
Only fools believe in God. or Santa Claus, or the Easter Bunny. We all know what is right and wrong... live you life that way!
