It really depends on the person. I had a teacher who was a 46 year old virgin, and she was one of the best people I've ever met. There's nothing wrong with being 36 and a virgin. I also know people that are 12 and not virgins. So really, it's just a matter of choice, and whether or not it just happens. I think if you die a virgin thats kind of sad, because you never got to experience sex, but really its not a huge deal at 36.

I do not think there is a certain age where it is inappropriate to be a virgin. You are only a virgin once. I do think everyone should enjoy the pleasures of sex. I myself was 20, when I lost my virginity. I think your second question depends on the individual, that person may be happy or content being a virgin. Some individuals also want to wait for the right person or till they are married. Some also do not have as many opportunities as others.

Why is it sad to be a virgin ? Being a virgin or not is everyone own chose. To give up your virginity is a personal decision. I knew someone who didn't give up her virginity until she was 36 years old,too.

The only "sad" thing is how people want to judge so quickly in our country. Virginity, or lack of, is a personal matter. It is sad that people do not value privacy more. It is sadder still if someone feels pressured in to having sex just to shut people up.

Everyone matures at different rates. It only becomes sad when a person never matures.

Alot of slutish people might say its a bad thing to be adstenant till 36 . But some smart people might say that's a good thing . Or some might say it doesn't realy matter. I think the latter. But legaly your not suposed to have sex until your 18. But I think thats even too young. If you ask some older guy who's a child molester pedofile he might say age doesn't matter or 15 or 16 or somthing . For obvious reasons. I really don't think there is any age it's "sad".

I think that as long as the person is living there life the way they feel is appropriate for themselves there's nothing negative about that.

If it wasn't their decision to remain a virgin, that would be unfortunate.

As long as they are confident in who they are and what they want though, there should be no reason to worry about whether or not other people think their situation is "sad".
