its adress is 127 East 23rd Street, New York, NY 10010, and I am going there for a concert, but have never been to NY before, I was just wondering what kind of area in NY this was considered...safe..unsafe..seedy..anything like that would help and would be greatly appreciated!!

o and if it helps or makes a difference, the event is called "Blender theatre at Gramercy"

Technically it's in the Flatiron District, that's where the historical Flatiron Building is, but also 127 East 23rd Street could be considered Gramercy Park. No ones going to argue it's not.

It's a perfectly safe area, a few blocks from where I live. The area would be considered Flatiron or Gramercy Park or Madison Square as it is a few blocks from the Flatiron Building, Madison Square Park (not Madison Square Garden!) and Gramercy Park (this area is not so well defined as the East Village Soho etc.) 23 rd is a major cross street full of stores, low price restaurants, etc. also you are in a major restaurant area between Broadway and Park 23rd to 14th and also right in the middle of Baruch College. So there are tons of people around .
