in the past 6 months I've gained 50 pounds do to the depo shot and an underactive thyroid. I walk 2 hours every day and I eat mostly fruits, vegtables, cereal, and yougurt. I have not lost a single pound instead I keep gaining weight. I only have a month until my wedding and I feel awful. what can I do?

I now weigh just over 200 pounds. I am very muscular. I am also only 5'3.

I'm not really eating a whole lot. my fiance who is a wrestling coach says I actually need to eat more cause my body is in starvation mode and so it stores every single calorie no matter how much I exercise.

you shouldnt worry about what you look like..too much pressure is put on women today to lose weight...if the man your are marrying really loves you that much..then should love you just the way you are and if he doesnt then he isnt really there for love, he is there for looks

If you are referring to hypothyroidism, I understand how that can be a pain when trying to lose weight. If you want to lose weight within a month for a wedding, I suggest trying to a liquid diet. Normally this would be a bad thing, but it does work and your wedding only happens once. In regards to the thyroid issue, I recommend having your blood levels checked again - they may need to put you on medication and/or up the dose. The thyroid is something that needs to be checked constantly. Hope this helps.

I gained alot of weight due to a medicine also, I was on prednisone for rheumatoid arthritis. Since I've gone off the meds, I decided to try to lose the weight.

I have just recently started this diet, and you may have seen it recently in magazines. I have lost 12 pounds in the last 8 days! It is advertised as the Amazing New Celebrity Diet, and many of the members have lost huge amounts of weight very quickly. I thought it would be very difficult but it actually turned out to be pretty easy because they have all of the tools and recipes on the website.

Well there IS a drastic new thing called 'lipo disolve' it helps you kill fat cells, however it isnt a magic pill that will make you as small as say Lindsey Lohan or something :) sorry. But it will help you lose the problem areas that refuse to die down :) They say that new pill Allie also helps block the enzymes that inhibits the breakdown of fat cells in food, so you poop em out [yea gross but lol] it says that with the proper diet and excercise that you say youre already getting it will deliver slow results :) With only a month to work with its hard :/

Are you being treated for you under active thyroid ? Is your dose correct ?

If properly treated you should not continue gaining weight.

Schedule an appointment with an endocrinologist (metabolism specialist).

Well a quick way to take off weight is to detox your body. You should go to you local GNC to buy one. While you there you should also buy some diet pills and other things to help you get some of the weight off.

If you are doing all you can do, seek a doctor's advise. Also, cut off all fatty things.

If you are particularly muscular, you could be mistaking muscle for fat. Muscles add to your weight, remember that!
