Some people pretend to be surprised when they ask "How can athiests (sic) have morals?" or "Why do Christians celebrate cannibalism?" and they get a negative response, or the question gets deleted. But no, I have to think they know what they're asking, and the whole point is to irritate the "other."
On the other hand, I have been genuinely surprised at some of the "violations" I've received for my answers. It's pretty clear that the Yahoo admins never really look into the nature of the complaint; they just axe you if you go above a certain quota of complaints.

Yeah, it's a game, and you just lost five points. Everyone who answers your question gets two.
But you can get three of your points back just by choosing a best answer to this question, and if you answer one other question you break even.
But there are rules to this game, and the Yamster will toss you out if you are too nasty or rude to the other players.
Of course, some silly people really do think they are here to ask questions they really would like answers to, or to answer questions about their faith with the idea that they are helping other people to understand why they believe as they do, but we can tolerate them. Heck, we might even learn a thing or two while we are playing, that can't hurt, can it?
We might, if we keep our minds open just a bit, learn a bit about one another's faith...and that can't be a bad thing...can it?
So, what does the winner get?

Some may think it a game, I call it a MINSTRY for Jesus Christ. As it is in the world today, and always has been, ppl can reject the message of Jesus Christ, or they can accept it. God tells us it is our job as Christians to live the word of God, and to speak it bodly to others. Once we do that, it is the job of the Holy SPirit to do the convicting. In the end of all that, it is simply their choice on whether they obey God or reject Him.
Yes, I see a lot of STUFF on here, for lack of a better word at the moment. BUt, isnt this just how it is in the world? SO many mock Jesus and any that follow Him. But, that did not deter Jesus one bit. He kept preaching , right up unto death. He is our high calling, we are to be like Him in every way, not just when it is convenient to do so. We must be living truth and speaking truth until we draw our last breath, or till Jesus comes to rapture us home, whichever comes first.
Never get discouraged by all those of the world that wont follow Jesus, it is their choice. Just think on the ones that will, and if we have even just one person respond to the message of Jesus Christ, then we are doing our job, arent we? I see so many Christians come on here and leave due to all the STUFF. Jesus didnt see how how it was getting and say He was running to the nearest exist and forget that cross stuff, did He/ NO. We are to take up our cross and follow Jesus.
What a wonderful priviledge to make that choice FOR HIM. and to try and lead others to making that choice also.

The only thing anybody can do is ask and answer questions and hope for the best. There's not a whole lot that people can do as everybody has their own opinion when it comes to certain subjects although some people are too strong in their opinions almost to the point where they are extremely rude and disrespectful.

Violations should not be handed out for speaking ones point of view. It is a sad but true reality that many of us deal with. The worst part of it is that you get no warning before the account deletion hits you!

I always try and answer the question the best I can. Sometimes, my answer is not what you want to hear so you don't accept it. That is fine, You have the right to disagree and believe differently and I support that right. If it isn't the answer you want, maybe you should rephrase, or be more specific in your asking. Thanks and have a great day!!

Eh still ask the questions. You just have to be strong enough to realize that you need to take some of the answers you get with a grain of salt.

i think you're right. in the religion section people seem to not go by their own christian or whatever beliefs, they are quick to judge and be critical. but that is just the way people really are inside. its cool to see some answers, becuase people aren't afraid to be who they are inside and it gives me a look into what people really are like.

hmmm, not sure what you are getting at here. someone need only read an answer to "realize" the answer, now understanding the answer is a whole other ball of wax so to speak, and I think a good many lack understanding.

It is a game, and people are so easy to redirect their answer to a question you never asked, lol! For example: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgODUzswH62By.9tXqWMhwXsy6IX?qid=20070624101421AAdrZIa
Sometimes the answers that people give are just so sad. There's really no other words for it.
Thumbs up for the answer above mine.
