God breathed His breath of live into the dust of a uncursed world and made the perfect man and then he caused a deep sleep to come upon Adam and then, God took from Adam a rib in which God made a woman (womb-man) cause she came from the side of man to be his helpmate not one from his foot to be tramped on and she to was perfect in nature and beautiful until they both disobeyed God and sinned causing each child born to be stained with sin being separated from God until the time God sent forth Jesus to redeem mankind as He has done.

The time came when the Lord God formed a man's body. He made it from the dust of the ground. Then he breathed into it the breath of life. And man became a living person....Then the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. He took one of the man's ribs. Then he closed up the place from which he had taken it. Then he made the rib into a woman, and brought her to the man.
(Genesis 2:7, 21-22)
Also related verses Gen:1: 26And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Genesis 3: 19 By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return."
1 Timothy 2:13For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

Genesis 2 records that God first formed Adam out of "the dust of the ground" and then "breathed into his nostrils the breath of life" causing him to "become a living soul"
Eve was created in the Garden of Eden to be the wife of Adam, as he was lonely. As a result God decides that "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him." and in Genesis 2:21–22 it states
"And God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man"

According to the bible, God created Adam out of the clay of the earth (not dirt!).
Incidentally, the Hebrew word for "clay" is "adama", which suggests a play on words by the Hebrews. Which also suggests that the Bible is not to be take literally, but instead more of literature and poetry. But that is another topic altogether!
Eve was created when God took a rib from Adam while he slept. He had to be asleep, otherwise it would have probably been pretty painful! In any event, Eve was crafted out of the rib.
Some Biblical "scholars" use this story to suggest that since Eve was created from Adam, a woman should be subjugated to a man, just as God created man, man is subjugated to God.
Call me a liberal, a free-thinker, a bible basher, but I don't believe in this interpretation
Hope that answers your question! =)

Haven't you read Genesis lately?
It clearly spells it out in detail...step by step:
G-d forms a man "of dust from the ground,"[7] and breathes into the man's nostrils, "and man became a living being."
G-d sets the man in the Garden of Eden and permits him to eat of all the fruit within it, except that of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, "for in the day that you eat of it you shall die."[8]
G-d decides to make him a helper for the man, and makes "every beast of the field and every bird of the air, ...whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name... but for the man there was not found a helper fit for him."
G-d makes a woman from one of the man's ribs, and the man awakes and names his companion Woman, "because she was taken out of Man."[9]
"And the man and his wife were both naked, and were not ashamed."

They were actually the end result of a lot of experimentation in the biochemistry lab. It took many, many failures for God to develop the correct formula for stable DNA and RNA, then he had to put the correct nucleotides in the correct order to get the organic beings known as "man" and "woman". It is a shame about all the failed experiments, though.
Would you believe that he got only an A- on that project? I would have been upset with anything less than an A+, myself.

I took enough dirt to use in his matter converter and he produced Adam and Lilith. Adam didn't want to treat Lilith as an equal and he always wanted to be on top. He went whining to God and rather than totally reprograming her, he took a rib from Adam and used the matter converter to make Eve who because of her genetic tie to Adam was no longer his equal and she took her place beneath him. God sent Lilith to Sumeria where she founded an evil cult and everyone lived happily ever after! The end.
