okay well you will have to be 18 when you sign the contracts for your apt . otherwise the contract is null and void . good luck .

Yes, they can approve you, just ask them. Each landlord or management company will have their own policy. In my opinion, if you have the money, a steady job, not a criminal or deadbead, and almost 18, that should be good enough. The 18 or older thing is just if they are concerned about a future issue that may have to be addressed in the court system, like an eviction or you refuse to pay rent and claim that you never really had a legal contract since you were underage. A landlord just wants to get paid on time, and not have to deal with a problem tenant, address these concerns via personal or professional references, putting down a security deposit, and nice and straightforward when you talk to them, and there should not be any good reason why they shouldn't approve you.

Do you mean just the landlord? A lot of them will, if it is a smaller building. Those who need a credit report and use a management agency MAY take longer, but you should be able to find someone who will take you with your record. Why wouldn't you get one?

they will probaly have you have a cosigner. some place require one even if you are over 18 and have no credit. it depends on the place you are moving into. It sounds like you better start calling around.
