Has anyone else seen where Rick Hendrick does want to keep Dale Jr's number when he comes over? I saw something on ESPN and I just wanted to see if anyone knew anything else about it.

I wouldn't have asked this question if I didn't hear something about this morning. I know that it has been all over here, but I heard something on TV this morning and I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't dreaming

At the press conference with Jr. and Richard, When asked if he would consider trading the #5 for the #8 he said he would be open to that. Go to nascar.com to the video control room and you might find the press conference along with lots of interviews with both men. Hope this helped. Also there was an article on nascar.com where Max Siegal for DEI said they would discus it as soon as the knew what the number was worth.

On the Hendrick Motorsports membership site Rick said that he would trade or buy the rites to the #8 and they said the same thing on ESPN.
