It doesn't effect me at all, I consider all money equal so don't spend more or less by method of payment.
Of course I don't carry a balance so I don't pay interest so when I spend I already have the money to pay.

Credit cards have changed my spending habits. I think I spend a little bit more than I would if I had to immediately feel the pinch of what I was buying. However, I've never gotten in over my head with spending and have never paid a penny in interest. It takes self-discipline but credit cards aren't evil, people just don't always use them responsibly.

Credit cards have impacted my spending habits positively in the long run. I had to learn the hard way though. Racked up quite a debt when I was 18 but now I've got my debts cancelled and have learned that credit cards are the devil!!! Don't spend money that you don't have.

Credit cards have hurt me more than helped. Sure I have some stuff to show for it, but in the long run, I'm going to be paying these bills forever. My credit rating is high because I'm good at paying on time, but I can only afford the minimum payment. I wish so badly that my mom would have warned me of the dangers of credit cards... but she didn't. Nobody did. I got one and started spending. I think they're the root of evil most of the time.

Well it depends, with my first credit card i tried to keep it up but then I lost my job and had to charge everything :/ which was a horrible idea...then after i got a job i charged everything like crazy and owed my credit card like $200 over my limit by the time i finallly paid it off. Now I have a secure credit card[meaning i had to put a deposit down with my bank and im not allowed to touch that $ unless I cancel my credit card] and its helping me slowly rebuild my credit, i do still charge things now but I will NOT charge it unless I know theres actually money in my account to pay it off, it really does help :) I am no longer in horribly bad debt like I was last year. Mind you I'm only 21 :/ and I owed everybody lol, now i just have like 2 people I owe, my student loan and victoria secret :) Which I do plan on paying off before the year is over.

In the past (college), I saw credit cards as free money. My credit score took a while to recover.
Now, I use them responsibly and I SWEAR by balance transfers. While I pay a 3% fee per transfer, I haven't paid interest in a few years.

McDonalds did a study a few yrs ago and they found out that people that use plastic to pay with spend 37% more on average than people that used cash. spending cash is emotional. Using plastic isnt.
I would have to say negative.
