Well, in a kind of way that you'd point out a purple and pink polka dotted house in your neighborhood. Some questions are so bad, you just wanna shout ... "Look!"

I've starred plenty of questions for how appauling they are. My contacts sometimes will see what questions I've starred, and that can allow them to respond to them where they'd otherwise not even know about them. There was an attack on the character of Gorgeustexaswoman recently that I starred, using that star as a call to arms; that question wound up deleted by the asker because of the swarm of support GTW recieved (I'm not taking all the credit for it, by the way--many good people chipped in all on their own). I use it mostly as a beacon when I think the question could really use a dose of (in)common sense.

Kallan posted on a question once that she wanted to star something so that others would see how silly it was

so I took her advice and did it
I think I may do it again
some questions need to be seen by others so that it can be defended and corrected

so i think it is a good idea at times

If it's a prize loon asking a prize loon question, and i don't want to answer it myself, I'll put it on a watchlist to check out later. Sometimes drawing attention to these would be a good thing though. The star only means you think it's interesting. "Interesting" can mean "look at this crazy!"

Yes I have done that. In the hopes that people in my network will see how absurd the question is also. I like giving stars for random reasons. It doesn't mean I like the question.

I star questions if I want to go back and answer them later, or if I want to show it to someone, or if there are links in the question, or answers that I want to look at later, or save. Sometimes, I might want to star a question because I think it is funny! *sm*

No, I only use it for questions I want people to notice for a good reason.

I like your new color scheme, by the way.
