I haven't met anyone who's been happy with the built-in FM transmitters on the newer Sirius units when used in wireless mode. You'll want to use this adapter to make a direct connection into your radio's antenna jack:

This will require you to remove the factory radio so you can get to the antenna connection at the back. Some vehicles may also require antenna adapters if the factory antenna plug doesn't match the after-market standard. If you provide the year and model of your vehicle, I may be able to give you more information.

Connecting it directly to your existing radio will prevent a lot of interference you'll get with a wireless connection. I had mine professionally installed when I bought my Sirius radio and only had a problem with reception while traveling along a section of interstate in middle North Carolina. There are instructions in the owner's manual that came with the radio that detail how to do a self-install.

They used to work great. Within the last 6mo-year the fcc forced them to knock down their transmitting power now they are all weak at best. Almost all new ones you buy now will require some sort of direct connection with the antenna (or a transmitting antenna that you have to mount near your vehicles antenna)
