This really hot guy friend of mine has been trying to date me for 8 years!! he is very persistant. He totally painted a prince on a white horse image in my head. I started dating him, and I was in heaven. after 2 weeks he started acting wierd and unnaffectionate. He finally told me that He did not feel romantic towards me and had no sexual feelings towards me. That I felt more like a sister to him. I was crushed. He insisted we still be friends I declined. He called me to hang out with him for 2 more weeks. I insisted he stop calling me. He finally called me the 3rd week and stated that he missed me soooo much and he was stupid for letting me go. He wanted me back. He talked for about an hour about how much he missed me. I said ok. well weve been together for 2 weeks now he never calls me EVER. and he does not seem interested when i am with him. Still unaffectionate and not sexually interested. Whats the deal??

He likes to conquer. When you are not with him, you are like a prey, "moving" and he has to run after you and get you. When you are with him - he already got you, the prey isn't moving, he is not interested.
If you dump him, and get another man, he will become interested again, and so on.

Well, first I was thinking that a somewhat similar thing happened to me.
I was totally into this female for many years. We were close friends for a long, long time. She wouldn't date me. Then, years later (after falling out of touch), we hooked back up and it led us to the bedroom. Our sexual compatability wasn't the best and we quickly parted ways.
However, you're situation is much more chaotic. This guy sounds really screwed up. He's playing games. It shouldn't be this confusing or sending this many mixed messages.
Your friends. Maybe not set out as lovers.
Also though, this guy sounds whacked.
I would encourage you to let him know why it is you two can't move forward together.....and leave it at that. Just move on. Sorry, but the guy sounds like an idiot with obvious issues haunting him....

Katana, Hon, Speaking for all the good guys, I apologize ! Sounds like a fool who doesn"t know what he"s got till it"s gone ! Sometimes our impression of a person is way off the reality.Thing is don"t let one jerk decieve you this just opens a door for you to meet someone new ! I will say a prayer.

You just dont mesh.If its hard to be friends with him with no strings then dont.Lifes about choices.Do what makes you happy.
