What would be the 1st thing that runs through your head? & also, my friend took this girl to the police station & they asked her if she's been molested, & she shrugged her shoulders & then later said no. & so the police DIDN'T take the daddy & his friends to jail because the girl told them no. Maybe she didn't know what being MOLESTED means @ the age of 7. & then when my friend asked the girl why she lied, the little girl said, "Because I was afraid my daddy was gonna whip me."

OMG. In many states the police are required to call in Child Protective Services or a Sex Crimes Unit when there are charges like this. Maybe things would have turned out better if they had this time. This poor little girl needs help. If these police do not know how to handle sexually abused children then they should call in the experts. Bless your friend for trying to help the child.

It is not up to us to make a determination because we cannot -- we do not have all the facts, not by a longshot.
But it IS up to us to follow the law! And the laws state that we MUST report any situation in which a child has made an outcry of abuse, or we suspect abuse, neglect or eminent danger to a child. It is that simple. It has to be reported by the person who heard it from the child, if at all possible. Then Children's Services will investigate, and hopefully make a good determination, and take appropriate actions for the well being and safety of the child.

I DO NOT recommend talking to her parents or "daddy's friends". They may become hostile toward you and make a potentially bad situation even worse. What is required by law is to report it to children's services. The police, in my opinion, handled this girl and the situation badly. I would report it to children's services and the chief of police instead of Deputy Fife and hope they handle it better. What it boils down to is that if you have a strong suspicion, it is your duty to report it by whatever means necessary. For the little girl's sake, I hope you are wrong.

I would be very curious about the situation and talk to the mom if there was one and then maybe talk to the dad and friends and tell them about what the child says or turn the story in to children's services.

You should talk to one or both of the parents first. Outsiders refuse to believe it, but kids do make up stories. I know first hand from my own. I've also heard stories of kids whose lives were ruined when they said something as a child that was misconstrued by others.

I wouldnt permit it on my own. i'd clarify to her "angel, that isn't how we shield our anger. in case you're mad at that boy u could inform me or ur instructor and we are able to shield it" she needs to understand that actual violence isn't the respond! You should call cps and let them know what is going on. Of course she is scared that her dad wiil hurt her if she tells. Let her
know that you/your friend are there for her and will put a stop to this. This abuse does not have to continue. Children need help from other adults to help stop the abuse. Please help her.

omg! tell the 7 year old that if she tells the police everything that is happening they will protect her and she never will have to deal with what her dad and his friends do to her that is just sick and wrong.

that is disgusting parenting or she has seen too many graphic movies. you have to gently talk to the parents. they definetely need to improve this girl's behavior or you'll have to call child abuse.
