Suppose you were in a company of friends, and there was a man who you did not know; and he got your e-mail address from friends and the next day e-mailed you a photo of himself, with jeans unzipped and dropped off and his pubic hair shown all the way down, exposing his crotch.
And when you remonstrated, he said that it was a "joke", to "show you how funny I am".
Is this normal?

No. This is definately NOT NORMAL. I strongly urge you to avoid that bloke as much as possible. If in the event he continues top harrass you, you should get the authorities on his @$$. And, as for your friends, I stronlgy urge you to not call them your friends any further.

I'd tell him if he sends you ANY correspondance (naked pics or not) that you will report him to the police and perverted justice because he's a sexual predator... maybe that'll scare him enough to leave you alone. Don't be a victim!
