Just about every single Christian( and many post-Christian) denomination and group considers itself Bible based.
I am Catholic and I believe that the Catholic Church is the most Bible -based because it organized and canonized(decided what is in) the Bible. Protestant groups descend directly or indirectly from the Catholic Church and their New Testament canon is that of the Catholic Church. I believe that the Catholic Church is the proprietor of the Bible(especially the NT) and only authorized interpreter of the Bible.
Many Fundamentalist Revivalist Evangelical Protestant Churches (usually with roots in Reformed Independency or Baptist or Holiness or Pentecostal movements) consider themselves(often to the exclusion of other Fundamentalists) consider themselves to be the real "Bible-based' or "Bible-believing" churches especially as opposed to Modernist"Liberal Protestant Churches".
Those type of "Bible -based" churches grew off different Protestant branches of the Christian Tree- as I stated above usually from an Anabaptist, Reformed,Baptist,Holiness or Pentecostal subfamily( which all can be traced back to the Catholic). Many can be traced to the Anglican( which broke off from the[Western] Catholic).

Protestant denominations are nearly all based on what someone thought they found in the Bible and decided needed highlighting.
The early Catholic Church is based on the teachings of the Apostles, and their writings which were subsequently canonized as the New Testament of the Bible. Since except for a few items, Anglicanism is pretty much Catholic the same may be said of it, at one remove, as it were.
For Eleni:
A) The word is C H R I S T I A N I T Y.
B) NOT Charlemagne (9th century) who wasn't even Greek, but Constantine (4th century) who wasn't Greek either, but Roman.
C) And it ceased to be considered a "cult" by the end of the 2nd century. Most persecutions, except for strictly local ones stopped then. Constantine didn't remove it from cult status. He simply made it the OFFICIAL faith of the Empire.
D) St. Thomas Aquinas was NOT a Protestant!!!!!
E) The earliest form of Christianity was NOT GREEK! It was an offshoot of Judaism.
F) The Eastern Orthodox, including the Greek, schismed from Rome in the 11th century over some tenets of the faith on which they could not agree.
Eleni; you need to read your history books a lot more carefully, dear.

Technically, it's based in Greek Orthodox. This is because when the church started, it was considered a cult by the Romans who were still practicing the old religions. It was considered a cult until the time of Charlamaigne, who was a Byzantine, or Greek. After a while, other sects started popping up, like Roman (Meaning 'from Rome') Catholic (Meaning 'one') and Russian Orthodox. In the 16th century, Protastantism showed up with Thomas Aquinas and Martin Luther. After that was Henry VIII's schizm with Rome, effectivly making the Anglican church. If you want to go back to the roots of Christianity, look to the Greek Orthodox church. I, myself, am not Orthodox or even Christian, but I know that much in historical form.

Roman Catholics have their own version of the Bible. But it is the original "Bible" per se. At least the Bible the male Romans wanted created at the time. There are many Gospels not included in the Bible (such as the Gospel of Thomas, the Gospel of Jesus, etc.) for reasons related to political power and "keeping women in their place" (like Mary Magdelene). These Gospels were hidden by the true origanal Christians (Gnostics - like Jesus who believed in knowledge AND faith) because Romans declared the Gnostics heretics. Many of these Gospels were discovered in the past 100 years.
Check out the history of Christianity.

Catholicism is based on the Bible and what we were taught by Jesus and his Disciples. It is the church Jesus founded.
EDIT: Eleni - A lot of what you posted is just Historically incorrect. Please edit. I think you have some names confused.
