I see mothers in the street getting rudely treated like she is one of their spoiled daughter contemplaries and I am thinking why is this mother taking this? Why is this mother acting like she has to bow down to her whims? Too afraid to say no or excerise authority.

By the time they are that old its too late to start being the parent now. People are too lazy to parent. Parenting takes work and determination and its a thankless job. Its not easy to be the one in the crowd that says "Say goodbye to your friends, you aren't mature enough to be on the streets.", and then hauling her behind home and putting her to work.

Respect starts with self respect, if you don't have it, why should your kids treat you any better than you do?

Parenting is not for the weak.

Lack of discipline. Parents here in the US aren't as likely as parents from say hispanic countries to punish kids, I have seen kids running around like crazy disrespecting their parents and it does sadden me deep down inside that head of families aren;'t implimenting rules or consequences...the results, you end up with nitwits like Paris Hilton......
