Having the type of hair you are looking for would be to inherit it. But there are things you can do to make it appear silky and thick...First trim or cut it evenly, this will make it appear thicker and fuller. Next they have very good conditioners and tonics you could use. Another factor would be if your hair is damaged from dying it too often. I would suggest to cut and/or trim it then do a deep heat treatment and condition it. I would then think you would get the results you are looking for.

There is a new line of hair products out called Ojon. They have shampoo and conditioner specifically designed to do just that. It's a little pricey, but if you're serious about wanting thick, shiny hair, i'd consider it. they sell the product at Ulta and Sephora.

I've never used it, but I have a friend whose daughter had really thin and limp hair... she bought "mane and tail" shampoo, used on horses, and it made her hair thicker and shinier. Also if you use a straightener (plug in type, not relaxer) it makes your hair silky.
