Of course! I'm a doctor (I don't know how good I am, but I mannage things; my bosses are happy with what I do) and I had that fear too. More u practice more u forget about fear. But is one important condition: your passion for medicine to be real! :)
Good Luck!!!

dear Brutus
I once felt as you did and let me assure you that this is not a matter of fear, but of experience. if your love of the science and the subject matter is compelling you will overcome your fears. my advice is actually pretty simple, volunteer at a place that handles animals a lot - like a pound or a animal hospital, of if you are in a rural area, work on a farm this summer. get a 4 H project for example. what you are actually feeling is Perfectly Normal. we have an aversion to injury and simple body fluids like urine etc. By working in an environment where these are common place you will realize that they are not a big deal. even if you do not choose to be a doctor, later this will really make your life better if you have children, have a sick relative, or yes, just have a " steady relationship" in your life, where you have to get used to all kinds of biology

I assume you mean a fear of blood. The answer is a certain no. Blood is the most fundamental fluid of the human body. If you can't handle blood, you have no business being a doctor.

It depends on what kind of doctor you want to be. If you are into research you'd be okay. But if you want to work with patients you will need to get over your fear of blood.

I'm going to go ahead and say no but not all doctors have to deal with blood like allergists, psychologists, dermatologists (mostly), podiatrists, optometrists, etc.
Don't spend all your time trying to be the best just try to be the best you can be.
