Hopefully it's not a Dell. If you filled out the registration and either mailed a card in, or perhaps did it on line, it's registered. But first you will have to make the call and have your intelligence insulted by the nice people in India, who will ask you things like "Is it plugged in?" and "Did you turn it on?"

The other question I would have is, do you drive your computer to work? I thought perhaps you did considering the category you are asking in.

The warranty is from the computer maker not the store. Call their customer service number and tell the nice person from India your PC doesn't work. Hopefully they'll be able to advise you as to your next step.

Refer to your credit car bill, the store will pull up the date and time of the transaction, besides Computers have serial numbers, it's easily tracable just go to the store with your credit card bill from that month.

Call the manufactures customer help line and see what they say. If you registered the computer when you bought it, then they should have all the information necessary to determine warranty. Most manufactures have local repair shops. good luck.
