Yep, not at all fun hearing them talk WHEN they are lecturing [and too often harsh words are spoken].
For sure, the spanking isn't a picnic either, but its usually only a couple of minutes -- though its message isn't soon forgotten either!

Yeah, the sting doesn't last all that long afterwards, but while they are lighting that fire ... that sure ain't fun!

Very effective. Hopefully there are not "harsh" words that wound the heart, maybe for years.

lectures because they would tell me over and over again how let down they were with me. i rather take the spanking and not see the hurt in their eyes while they were lecturing me.

I would have not say I didn't mind either. I am in my 30's and I've actually gone to my dad and said that I wish he would have disciplined me more. I was real mouthy to my mom, but not my dad. When my dad disciplined I listened, but my mom and I just kept butting heads. Yes I was spanked, and well does a spanking really hurt (if done correctly, on the bottom)? Not really, you get a sting for a little while, even with a belt. However, when your parents look you in the face and say they are disappointed in your actions WOW that goes right to the heart. I appreciate all of the disicpline my parents gave to me, even when it was done incorrectly (in anger). My parents, my siblings and I have all learned through disicpline.

I would say lectures are worst. Spankings last a few minutes but lectures go on for ages.

My dad's lectures because it lasted a lot longer then getting spanked by my mom.

ooh. that's a tough one. spankings were pretty bad.sometimes with the belt.(i was a child of the 60's) i still remember them but, not as vividly as my fathers lectures. probably b/c he still lectures occasionally. i hated them so much. all he'd do was repeat himself, thinking that i hadn't heard him the first 12 times he said it. i can remember a few times they'd last 45 minutes! i guess i have to say the lectures were worse.

i think there spanking used to be better because it happened once and then it was over with. however now that I'm grown up they cant spank me so the lectures just keep pouring in. and they never stop.

lectures cuz they went on for ever! and he did it around my friends too my moms lecture were dont do it but my dads went on for ever
