"Gift for a gift."
Sometimes I'm so overwhelmed by the goodness of my life, the only possible response is to pour out a horn of homebrewed mead to my Elder Kin in blot . . . it's how heathens say thanks:
"From the godhs to the Earth to the Folk,
From the Folk to the Earth to the Godhs,
A gift for a gift, in loving thanks" :-)
Here, I just do this:

I express gratitude by living it up. Don't take that the wrong way; I don't go out to clubs and get wasted.
If I think birds are wonderful, I buy a bird feeder and watch them. If I love the forest, I hike through it. If I am thankful to have food and money, I eat and spend. If I have an excess of either, I give it away.
I pray to no God because I believe in no God. But that doesn't mean that I'm not thankful for what I have.

I believe that showing gratitude is very important. I thank my God, through His Son Jesus Christ for every blessing of life. I think it is also important to thank people for the nice things they do. I have a box of "thank you cards" in my desk drawer. If I see something on TV that really "rings my bell" I send a card. When someone at work, does something for me or for someone else, that goes beyond the ordinary, I will thank them for their deed. If you go out of your way to be thankful, oftentimes the good deeds will be repeated.

I believe the expression of Gratitude is in the way you live your life and how you treat people. If you are grateful for what you have, and what you believe, it is your obligation to respect that and express it, while respecting the opinions of others. Just because we are all different doesn't mean we don't have to show respect for our differences. Peace and Love!!!

I do indeed thank God. Verbally and silently.
When my children were quite young, we lost our home to a fire. Thankfully, we were all safe, but everything was destroyed.
I took my children and we sought refugee in my Dad's house. As you might expect there was an outpouring from the neighborhood.
One woman from our church pulled me aside and SPECIFICALLY asked me what we needed first. I remember being overwhelmed as I told her "Jean, my kids don't even have a toothbrush"........
Today, scattered throughout my house, I have this motto on display and I keep it foremost in my mind.
"What if all I have tomorrow is what I am thankful for today?"

Well I do express my gratitude to Spirit. I started greeting the sun in the morning and found when I do that I feel a lot better. Not that I'm worshipping the sun mind you. lol

thank God, give to charity. i may have good things that i'm grateful for but many people dont. the best way is to share my good fortune by giving some to the needy who will definately appreciate it more than you can imagine.

I thank many Gods, depends on which one I ask for help, or which one I think helped me. Sometimes I ask help or protection off all of them, and then I generically thank all of them.

yes thank God. Also show your thanks by your actions. if you are blessed and truley thankfull you will want to pass your blessings on. volunteer for the march of dimes, your church, homeless shelters, food banks, old folks homes. your time is a valuable commodity which can be use to bring joy to peoples lives and give thanks to God by your actions :)
