There's no such thing as a "soul".
------------
Hmm. Accepting reality seems to be a problem for people here.

The soul is something that is non-physical and many believe that there is no soul. But psychologists have found an experience in humans where they feel perfect peace and limitless happiness which indicate that humans exist outside the physical world. See short article on site below for more on this. A physical thing does not need a soul to exist.

Souls are nothing but the manefistation of personality and self awareness among other traits living things share. Animals have personality and all those other things therefore, yes animals have "souls".

Your Soul consists of what motivates your life. If you live for pleasure and things of the world, then you have an earthly soul. I am not saying that you should not enjoy life and enjoy the things of the world, but if this is your "soul" motivation then you have an earthly soul bound for damnation. If you desire the things of God and His spirit, then you have a heavenly soul and your soul will spend eternity with God. Many do not understand this and reject it, let me show you just a few. they will give me a thumbs down.

Sorry, I don't believe this. Animals do have souls and sometimes I believe that their souls are more advanced than some human souls in how they show up and participate bringing great peace, love, healing and meaning to many humans lives. I know many humans that do not care for me the way my cat does. Her love is always forgiving and transcends our "differences".

It is probably human arrogance which causes people to say that humans have souls but that the animals who share our planet do not. Or maybe it is said because animals cannot accept any particular religious dogma as true.

Things live because of chemical reactions that result in growth and reproduction. Things without such chemical reactions are not considered to be alive.
Those chemical reactions don't seem to have any necessary relation to the existence of a soul, unless you think that vegetables, bacteria, insects, viruses and amoeba have souls as well.

Every level of existence has spirit. The mineral has the cohesive spirit, the plant has the spirit of augmentation, the animal has the sensory spirit and movement. The human spirit however encompasses all of these and has an additional quality we call soul. Soul is a power and a light that enables humanity to achieve a depth of understanding not available to other creatures by working in conjunction with our sophisticated brain. This powerful light can be focused outwardly upon the material/physical realm or focused inwardly upon the spiritual realm.

Living animals and humans ARE souls. Gen. 1:20, 24 says of the animals: "And God went on to say: “Let the waters swarm forth a swarm of living souls and let flying creatures fly over the earth upon the face of the expanse of the heavens. And God went on to say: “Let the earth put forth living souls according to their kinds, domestic animal and moving animal and wild beast of the earth according to its kind.” And it came to be so."
Concerning humans, Gen. 2:7 says: "And Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul."
In the Bible, “soul” is translated from the Hebrew ne′phesh and the Greek psy·khe′. Bible usage shows the soul to be a person or an animal or the life that a person or an animal enjoys.

1Cor 15: First man Adam was a living "soul".
But the Last Adam(Christ) a quickening "spirit".
Heb 4: word of God divides assunder soul & spirit.
As in (soulish) Adam all die: extinction of Law.
In Christ shall all be made alive: salvation of Grace.
Let's leave the soulish(childish) $tuff for the Spirit-u-all;
Comparing spiritual things (laws) with spiritual (grace).

No one can prove that any living thing has a soul, so when someone says that we do and animals don't then you can just wave your hand in the air and say:
what-ever!
