It depends on with what level of YOU, you are identifying.
YOU are made up of 7 layers. From gross to subtlest: body, breath, mind, intellect, ego and Being (the Infinity). Some people identify very heavily with their body and think that is who they are (body builders). Some indentify overly with their intellect and it actually blocks them from their soul, the Being, which can only be reached by dropping the intellect, and getting out of the logical mind.
When you reach enlightenment, there is no difference between you and your soul, because you become 100% identified with the deepest level of You, the soul.

The Hebrew word for soul is nephesh which means literally "life". It is also used for animals (Gen 1:20-24) and man as a whole person (Joshua 2:13, Exodus 21:23). The Hebrew texts denotes the spirit as "ruach" and refers to it as only the immaterial part of man (Num 16:22).
The greek of the New Testament makes things a little more clear. We know there is a difference between the soul (psyche) and the spirit (pneuma) by looking at Hebrews 4:12- "For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit..." .
The spirit is always referred to as the immaterial part of man. Man is not a spirit, he has a spirit. I believe the soul (psyche) is just what the greek word implies... the makeup of man. You are different from every other person. The thing that makes you you is the soul. The soul is how you relate to others and how you understand yourself. The spirit is how you relate to God. When you are reborn, you are born of spirit (John 3:5-6). The spirit is part of the soul, much like the mind is part of the soul. It is the soul, though, that comprises who you are.
Animals don't have a spirit per se- they don't seek God. Plants have a body, animals have a body and soul (they are capable of relating to man and other animals), but only man has a spirit. Both the soul and spirit pass when man dies, thus you will be recognizable as you in the coming resurrection (ref Matt 17:3) and you will as a believer forever be able to fellowship with God. You will be given a new body (1 Cor 15:51-55), but you will be you.

I do not believe there is a difference. You are your soul if you think about it. Yeah, there's your physical body, but really you are a soul just living in a human body. So you could define yourself by your body, but I would say that I normally define myself by soul. So once again, there really is no difference in my opinion.

Your soul or spirit, the inner you what ever you call it is the very essence of the individual you are.
there is the body which is a vessel that has a soul, until your body dies, then I believe that the soul goes on either to a new dimention, a beautiful place and may be reborn into anther body, it depends on what you believe.
that unique person inside that body is you that special part of you the heart of you.

Do you mean the difference between the body and our soul? Our soul is us, our reality, the looker/seer, the hearer, the feeler, the thinker, the rememberer. The body is the instrument with which the soul interacts with the physical/material plane of existence. Upon death, our reality disassociates itself with the body and continues its existence in the spiritual realm. By analogy, think of the sun in the mirror. When the mirror breaks the sun still has its existence. The mirror is analogous to our body, the sun our soul.

What is your name? a body can have this but a soul cannot have it, as soul just keeps travelling, to break its karma and it uses body till its healthy and fine once it is unfit and its ready to leave then soul leaves the body.
Thats why in villages you ask any villager whats your name? they answer i am named as not my name is see the difference, they have believed that they are named as but not their soul.

My soul is energy that is infinite and connected to God and all other souls. I am a physical manifestation of what my soul has chosen to experience in this lifetime in order to evolve and come closer to God.

Your body on this earth is a part of you as a whole. Your body is not a part of your soul. Your soul has no expiration date. It lives on after your body has perished.
