At BYU, do they...
...teach that Native Americans are the descendants of Asian peoples, not Hebrews?
...teach the Bering Strait Hypothesis?
...teach the exact location of Kolob?
...teach true Bible history and ways that Biblical scholars can determine the Book of Mormon is false?
...teach religious studies courses without Mormon opinion being involved?

just curious...it is a university after all, i'm just wondering if the students get a legit/truthful education there?

As far as I know, BYU is monitored by the state government, so they would have to teach the same as all other universities. There is some difference, since the church is involved, but to be considered a university, it has to fall under standards set up by the state board of education.

I didn't go there, so I can't say for sure what it taught, but I do know they have many excellent programs, and they are very well maintained. I can say that to go there, you do have to take religious classes, but I do believe they have classes besides LDS classes. You can look into that for yourself.

Here are some links from BYU professors on DNA and the book of Mormon.. Palestine is in what continent? Asia..

Also not all Native americans, eskimoes or Pacific Islanders are considered lamanites or immigrated hebrews.

Yes most scientific experts theorize most native americans, eskimoes came from the bering straits thousand of years and evolved from there.

Kolob...there is no exact location of it...

True biblical history without reformation theology involved you mean. Yes.

Of course there isn't religious courses without mormon doctrine involved just like Liberty, Oral roberts, Notre Dame or any other religious school won't have their own doctrine or church dicatating how the religious courses are.

BYU is one of the top schools in teh nation. And of course, since it is owned by the LDS church, then religion is going to be in almost everything. I don't think you can get a much better education in any other Church owned school.

I mean, if you go to a school like Oral Roberts or Bob Jones or Liberty U., are THEY going to teach religious study courses without evangelical opinion being involved?

Oh, and peepers, Avraham Gileadi? He repented of his sins and was re-baptised.

How anybody could name a school after a murderer like Brigham Young just amazes me. Remember Mountain Meadows? Ooooops sorry. We cant let a little history spoil our testimonies , can we? Did anyone ever do a body count on how many native americans were butchered by the wonderful pioneers? And you gripe about missouri.

There's a thin line between science and heresy. There a few of those involved in education in Utah who have been ex'd:

Grant Palmer
Avraham Gileadi
D.Michael Quinn
Paul Toscano
Lavina Fielding Anderson
Maxine Hanks
Lynne Kanavel Whitesides
Jeffrey Nielsen
Sterling M. McMurrin
Wendy Weaver
Gail Turley Houston
Francis Nelson Henderson

exactly. BYU sucks. there is no separation of religion and education at that self righteous school. p.s. I AM MORMON and even i can't stand that awful school. i am a UNIVERSITY of UTAH student and i have personally studied each of the topics you mentioned. thank goodness i go to a school where things being taught don't need church approval first. Teach people and let them think for themselves. NO FILTER!

That's an intersting name you've chosen for Y/A. For some reason, I don't think that Kelly Kapowski would go on the internet and attack peoples religious beliefs
