Undoubtedly,we all have heard a similar theme on "Stopping to smell the Roses" if we hear it too often,we may become dull of hearing...not often enough and we may miss out on it's message. It was written by a young girl with terminal cancer.... "Better slow down Don't dance so fast.
Time is short. The music won't last.
Ever told your child, We'll do it tomorrow?
And in your haste, Not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch, Let a good friendship die
Cause you never had time To call and say,"Hi"
You'd better slow down. Don't dance so fast.
Time is short. The music won't last.
When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift.... Thrown away.
Life is not a race. Do take it slower
Hear the music Before the song is over

"We talk of killing time as if; alas it weren't time that kills us."

In a world where we no longer have to know anything about delayed gratification, we have become a bunch of insensitive, grabbing, greedy, grubbing fools who do not take the time to enjoy anything along the way. We want to fly instead of drive and thus miss the beauty of the scenery along the roadways. We want to use email instead of snail so we miss the anticipation of hearing from a loved one. We text instead of call because, well, are we getting reluctant to hear the other person's voice now? We drive like maniacs trying to get nowhere fast and make a lot of unknown enemies along the way. It's sad to me.

My daughter just graduated from high school, and I am realizing time goes by so quickly. There's no such thing as too much time spent with the people we love, or enjoying the things we love to do.
