Then you read His Word, Pray, talk to someone thats a reputable trusted Christian thats knowledeable. If you truely want answers, read John. Read 1 chapter/day, pray before you read, tell God why you don't believe in Him, ask Him to show you answers and help you grow. It will take you 3 weeks to do this and you will not walk away the same person. It hasn't failed anyone that has done it. Read no more than 1 ch/day. Thats important.

First, you will will need resoltution in what made you stop believing to begin with. Read the Gospels and you will understand what kind of love He has for you.

Asking questions like that on this site is not such a good thing because as you can see from some of the answers already that they will try to make you feel stupid for believing in God. But remeber God said in his word that in

2 Peter 3:3 "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, ...".

2 Timothy 3:5 says, "Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. " This will come from "Good Christian" prosperity teachers.

Allow Jesus to come into your heart and He will show you what you need to do. Don't get caught up in denominations, find a church that is Bible based. Come to the website below and join up, I may be able to help you find a good church if you are serious about rededicating your life to Christ. And don't let the God haters get you down.

What you are feeling is the call of God. Now, you need to answer Him by opening your heart to him and accepting the possibility of his existance. Just talk to him. You are not the first and will not be the last to doubt or question him.

Seek a personal relationship with your creator and for the moment, ignore any doctrine that you have been taught. First must come the relationship with Him. After you and He have established the bond, you can grow in your knowledge of him.

Religions make it difficult for people to have a close relationship with God because they are always fighting amongst themselves about who puts the right interpretation on what God is or what he has said. Let God himself lead you to your beliefs. He is the God of all people...everywhere.

Perhaps the vision of God you were brought up with was an unhelpful one? Perhaps you were taught to see him as a harsh, vengeful figure? You might try to look for a liberal church and talk to the vicar or minister. In my experience, conservative churches often give a twisted view of God, i.e. portraying him as someone who will send anyone to hell who disagrees with the doctrines of that particular church. Remember; it's not primarily about WHAT you believe, leading a good life is more important; I'm sure that's what Jesus would have said. Don't expect God to be angry with you; no doubt you had a reason for losing faith, and if you pray to Him he will show you a way back, like the lost sheep in the parable. I recommend reading the gospels as a way of getting closer to God as revealed in Jesus the Christ. Don't try to rush back to belief. Take your time, don't ignore your difficulties, but try to wrap yourself in God's love. It can take a lot of time, but if you seek with your whole heart, then you will find Him. God bless you.

Other people will answer the 'how to' bit. I just offer support. Satan attacks all those who try to believe in God. He will start with a question "Did God truly say..." (Genesis 3) followed by disagreeing with what God says "You will surely not..." followed by a carefully constructed half-truth/lie that also attaches itself to our pride, ego, lust, ect "For God knows (when you do action) you will be like God (reason)" Check out Genesis 3 for the whole 9 yards on this trick. Satan will try to derail you so be prepared for it.

And remember: If Following God were easy then everyone would do it and there wouldn't be the issues found here in YA

God Bless your life with peace, prosperity, health and wisdom

You are basing your life on your feelings. You need to base your life on the self-authenticating God-breathed Word. Spend time prayerfully reading and meditating on the gospels of Luke and John.

Why should believing in God be difficult when all the theists say that it is as plain as day? You are currently right in doubting his existence. Remain true to logic and reason.

Whenever I lose something I always look in the last place I remember seeing it. Have you tried that?

Jesus might be behind your couch right now.
