these are 2 poems i wrote a bit ago for my fiance. I am leaving him bcuz he does drugs way too much and i cant handle him anymore. I need help, which poem is best for him to read after i go?

HATE:
i hate that you changed
i hate that ur still the same
i hate that you left
i hate that you stayed.
i hate how i cry
i hate how you make me smile.
i hate how i miss you
i hate how i feel.
i hate how it hurts
i hate that its my fault
i hate that its urs.
i hate that i cant be around you
i hate that i lost you
i hate how i found out who you really are.
i hate how i cant tell you any of this.
but most of all,
i hate how i cant hate you
not even a little
i hate how i still love you.

GOODBYE:
i dont really want to say goodbye
i dont really want to leave you
but i have to go away
i have to stay far away from you forever.
what we had was something special
deep down in our hearts
but now its time for me to go away
and leave you from my heart.

Honey, you don't have to write a poem! Although I like them both, just tell him why you don't want to see him anymore! Honestly it would be eaiser that way. Hope I helped some.

Stop the dramatics and just leave. It appears to me that people who have to have the "last word" as you do by presenting him with this poem, deep down inside don't want to leave even though it's a bad relationship. Make it a clean break, burn the poems, and move on without contacting him again. Besides, he'll probably be too high to understand or care about your poems, and he might even use the paper you wrote the poems on as rolling paper and that would make you an enabler and you wouldn't want that would you?

I like both. The second one sounds more sensitive because it doesn't have the word 'hate' in it. I say that because that word that can hurt a person. I really like the ending of the first one though...
"...but most of all,
i hate how i cant hate you
not even a little
i hate how i still love you."

Why don't you just write him how you feel?

A poem...
woah, ive never heard someone do this before.

The words 'i hate how i still love you' will give him the impression that he has another chance. If you really don't want to leave him, ask him if he would change, and if he stopped doing drugs, you would support him. Tell him how much you love him but your not comfortable with him doing drugs. Talking and being open with him will make you both stronger.

HATE... except for the last 4 lines. Might as well not say you are still in love. Grow some balls, walk away from him and don't look back, be miserable for a few months, then you'll find somebody new....

Maybe a poem isn't the best choice in your situation. If you are going to leave him, why do you want to fool around by giving him a poem?

in my opinion neither because they will make him think you still want him and that you have a chance of getting back together and if you are truely fed up with him and dont plan on getting back together why you tell him how you feel wen if he really cared you wouldnt be in this situation...sweetie jus leave!!!

You are doing the right thing. Both poems are good.

Neither if you are leaving him leave no need for poetry or he'll think he still has a chance.

I'm not dishing the poems though, they are excellent.
