Well. As I am sure you all must have heard a lot about this...

masturbating

What do you guys think about this?

Theres so so so many people that do it...

Here are somethings people have said:

Quote:
Well, since I'm not a guy, I have nothing to "spill on the ground".

I doubt that much attention is paid - there are much bigger crimes going on out there in the world.

That was not Onan's sin. His sin was DISOBEDIENCE, and had nothing do do with masturbation, which was only incidental to the disobedience.

There is no reason to think that God would have any problem with masturbation. Nothing in the Bible indicates that.

God only gets mad when we disobey God. In the case where someone (bible person) spilt seed to prevent pregnancy, God specifically told someone to impregnate.

No, I don't think God is mad at all about any form of pleasure!

What do you guys think about it? I am catholic.

What will happen to you if it is a sin? Will your life be very bad? Will bad things happen?

God created us to be lovers with our spouse. And there are a lot of 'g' buttons on our bodies. And faith hope & love is everlasting & the greatest of these is love.

So, our love making affects our soul/spirit. So, there is everlasting rewards with our love making. Sex is an act of love with our spouse.

So, when it comes to masterbation, it shouldn't be done, while lusting for others. That is adultery or fornication of the heart.

But then, to some it is a sin & to others it isn't. For me, I just ask the Lord in prayer & God has already answered me. So? I believe it is depending on if one is married or not. Or a marriage that love isn't being shared intimately with spouse in a physical way.

If you do it to an image, it would be idolatry. That would be very bad. But if you give it to the Lord, then the Lord actually created you this way. So, just give it to the Lord. You are the bride of Christ anyway.

Repent, finally end up of your sins, have faith ( dangle, adhere, matter, matter) on Jesus as your Lord & Savior. Mark a million: 15, Acts 2: 38 nicely known which you're a sinner, Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive and cleanse you from all your sins. Ask him to return into your coronary heart and make him your Lord. Romans 10: 9, 10

I don't feel that masturbation is a sin. I feel that it is a release for built-up sexual tension.

It is the original safe sex.
I am not catholic so I am not familiar with their teachings on this matter.
Babies eventually discover that touching down there will cause a sensation that is pleasant.

We could learn a lot about life from babies.

They don't hate, destroy or try to kill anything, all they want is comfort and peace.
Peace

Well I was raised catholic and I think masturbation is a hell of a lot of fun. Sin? Why? Who exactly am I harming when I masturbate? i think that if there is a God and he is loving and forgiving, he will understand. Its only a sin for sexually frustrated preachers and brainwashed sheeple. God never told ME not too. Only humans with obscure agendas repeat garbled gibberish say that IMO.

Masturbation as a way "to try" to fool ourselves to truly believe that we are fooling ourselves, because way deep within we all know that "there is no way to fool ourselves", but anyway many are silly enough to swear they do.

BTW, I have always enjoyed sex to the fullest in each and every way imaginable, I've never had or have taboos of any kind but I do need a man to be able to enjoy sex because, as a song says: "there is nothing like the real thing baby".

All men/women are sinners. And St John said if you say you do not have sin, you are a liar. No one is righteous but a human being can only become righteous from the righteousness of THE LORD GOD or THE LORD GOD robes one HIS righteousness. On one hand, THE LORD JESUS CHRIST has already redeemed all our sins and spiritually, any human being do not sin anymore and moreover, all men for that matter have no sins anymore except the devil and demons incarnate as men; it is because this is the righeousness of THE LORD GOD whose salvation will never end and HIS righteousness will last forever. All sins have been forgiven except Satan and his demons destined for hell or perdition. And Satan is the author of all our sins and deceives mankind to all sorts of sins and errors. Are you kidding me? Have you ever rubbed one out? I am Catholic too and it has never crossed my mind as being a sin. If we weren't meant to do it, our arms would be alot shorter and it wouldn't feel good. I'm all for it. I Love sex more, but if there is no partner available, do it!

This sin is committed by 99% of humans by the time they are 4. People touch themselves. It's just basic human nature.

I think Christians are... well that word isn't repeatable on here, but lets just say "insane" and leave it at that... for freaking out about sex the way they do. There's nothing wrong with sex, or masturbation.

it's human nature and there is nothing wrong with it. we could go as far as to teach our children to masturbate as a form of birth control...would work much better than teaching abstinence...(we all know that doesn't work)
