the secret to rigging a super fluke is using a quality offset hook like owner or gamagatsu. run the point though the head just deep enough so that it comes out in the slit in the belly. spin the lure around and take the point of the hook into the belly slit. slide the point of the hook about 1/4 inch back towards the tail and run the hook through. this should leave the hook point laying flush against that back of the bait. and the bait should be straight. you may have to practice a bit but this makes it weedless and gives it great action.

I use Zoom's Salty Super Fluke, not on a personal choice, but there was a pack of 'em in a tackle box I bought earlier this year. I haven't caught any fish with them, but, they do have some nice action when I fish them like this - I use a 3/0 EWG hook & Texas rig the bait, WITHOUT a weight. I'll cast it out, and let it sink to the bottom. I give a few sharp jerks with my rod to get the bait moving. This lure has tremendous action and I'm sure you'll catch some nice bass with the Fluke.

Not so sure about a super fluke, but as far as a fluke rig, your leader should be about 18" and you should use a bank sinker, so the rig could move with the current a lot more easily. I find using a swivel to tie the leader and the reel line works wonders. As far as bait, spearing or killies, and you could add squid or clams as a sweetener for the hook.

do a texas rig weightless! fish it like a jerk bait. swift fast jerks and wait for a 10 count and do it again, the action drives bass wild, flukes are used to mimic a wounded bait fish, and they really work great. watermelon seed with red flake or albino whites, i think zoom makes these.
