My husband was homeschooled and he went to college. However he was only homeschooled for one year. His parents decided that they could not teach as well as professionals. When he did get to college he met several students that were 100% homeschooled. They did lack some social graces, but they did ok. The big issue is to make sure that you recieve local credit for your homeschooling. Your diploma may or may not be recognized by certain colleges. Double check with your wanted college too. He says to make sure that you have a person from the local school system as an evaluator as well. The district superintendent approved of his schooling and was not meddlesome in his cirriculum. He chose a published set of books too. I hope that this helped you.

Yes. Homeschoolers are accepted at most colleges, although the hoops they have to jump through vary greatly from school to school. Some common requirements are good SAT and/or ACT scores, and a transcript (one designed by the parent/teacher is fine, they just want a record of studies). Some Colleges require additional tests of homeschoolers, such as AP tests or SAT subject tests. Another common route is to go to junior college or community college first, and then transfer to a university after you show that you can do the work. A few colleges ask for a GED, but I wouldn't get one unless the college you want requires it, it has a stigma attached to it. The best bet is to research college entrance requirements early and be sure to prepare yourself to meet them. This can be done by contacting the admissions office at the colleges you are considering.

Sure
You have to have the essential education (Algebra, Geometry, Trig, Pre Calc or Calc, Econimics, History, English, Biology, Math Chemistry, Math Physics)
You have to pass the enterance exams (mostly Math and English)
You should have taken the SAT or ACT and have a good score
YOu need to apply and let them know you are homeschooled (some colleges make room for homeschoolers).

Of course you can!! You can certaintly go to any Community College and a ton of Universities accept homeschoolers with open arms and many prefer homeschoolers believe it or not. Expecially since they are a lot of kids with higher scores that are homeschooled rather than Public Schooled.

If you've made sure to be educated and get decent scores on the required tests (SAT, ACT, whatever they want), then yes, you can get in. Homeschooled kids go to college all the time.

Sure. You will still have to take the SAT & the ACT exzams and you may have to take a seperate entrance exzam depending on the College or University. You might want to consider taking at least a semester at a local community college to get used to the college & classroom enviroment before applying to a major school. Good luck!

Yes, many colleges accept homeschooled students, as long as they meet the other criteria.

Colleges actually are starting to prefer people who have been homeschooled over those who aren't. This is simply because they are able to complete tasks on their own, are more reliable and honest.

Yes, you can.
Keep a portfolio of your work and your test scores. Take the SAT and any other tests school kids would. See if you can get any letters of recommendation from teachers you may have taken classes with, those help a lot.
Homeschooling will actually help you stand out a lot if you play your cards right.
