my cat has pyscological problems because she got beatent up by other cat that was abandon. Help?

Now my cat has started using BR in floor, because other gato would not let let her use the BR. Even thou other cat is gone. She does not trust that she can use BR, even thou it is in front of her. Will she get back to normal and start using the BR again? Help?.............................................................

You're applying human-like emotions and motivations to an animal that cannot experience those feelings. Its called "anthropomorphism".

Cats, like other animals, will mark their "territory" and will develop a hierarchy based on who is bigger and stronger. The bigger, stronger cat will 'fight' the others, and establish himself as 'boss'.

The subordinate cats will then defer to the boss. Since urine is the main way they mark territory, the subordinate might not be 'allowed' to use te boss' catbox.

Even if the 'boss' is long gone. Try cleaning th box with a strong cleaner and bleach, and changing the brand of litter you use. Maybe even get a whole new box for 'subordinate' kitty to use.

If you can, put your cat in a quiet room with her own litterbox and food dish. Let her relax in peace for a day or so, then slowly let her explore the rest of the house a little at a time. She will eventually come around. Make sure the litterbox is brand new, no other animal scents on it or in it!! Let her mark it as her territory.

Rule of thumb, 1 litterbox for each cat and an extra one (just in case)

Yes she;ll be able to trust again; but it will take awhile,I have 2 ferals that i feed and both are tomcats .when the littler one wants to eat before gordo he will lightly slap him and now the cats runs up eats and gos again.. I have had indoor cats that did almost the same thing; and it took about 30 days ; but she did quit being so nervous and started being a half way relaxed cat again... Let her relax and if she makes an pee or poo pour white vinegar on it after you clean it with soap and water; it gets the smell out...good luck to kitty and hope she relaxes real soon.,.,.,.
