Ok...I'm 15 years old this october. And i'm 5.64 feet tall or 172 cm.. I really wana do weight lifting, but some people keep advicing me to not weight lift while i'm teen..Coz they say, it stops my growth. And it makes sense to me, but now i think i'm a bit older, and is ok to weight lift, in my opinion. What do you think, and please tell me why i should/shouldn't weight lift. Thanx very much!

certainly...the only bad exercise is the one that is performed improperly. as long as your form is correct injury does not occur when it comes to resistance training

there is absolutely no medical data to support statements that resistance training stunts the growth. for some reason people like to spread completely false information instead of admitting that they know nothing about subject

It's fine to start as long as you have a well qualified trainer who is experienced in working with young guys. Don't do it without proper guidance - lifting too much too early can be very damaging in the long term.
