Confess everything to her. I'm sure its not the only thing you lied about. Tell her your real job, your real income, your real marital status, your real age. Tell her everything. And if she still wants to move in with a liar, well, good luck to both of you. You're going to need it.

Where being with other people is concerned, if your first thought is for yourself, you're better off passing on that particular relationship. I know the angst you're feeling (and every year that number just gets larger and larger), but if you can't muster the honesty to tell them the truth about you, the whole thing is going to collapse on you when it'll hurt you the most....after you're emotionally wrapped up in them. And from their perspective you will have lied (or been evasive) toward them, and that is not a confidence-inspiring gesture. You have something to say which should be said now...your age really isn't important, but it becomes important when you feel compelled to want to hide it. Here's a rule of thumb when encountering this subject in the future: Tell them your age immediately. (They may run away, but you don't really know them so you don't have anything invested in them anyway). Not everyone will run away, and the ones who stay will appreciate that you thought enough of them to let them make an informed choice. Good luck.

Next time you meet, say that you are really 43 years old, and the reason you said that is because you didnt know if she would be interested. Well, age is just a number anyways, if she fell for you then age doesnt matter

Honesty is the best answer. And I think you should tell her before, and three years just don't sound like it would make any difference. But if you wait to tell her, then she will think you tricked her, or that you may have others things you haven't told her. Come clean, before and she will respect you.

You lied about three lousy years and you are still 40? What was the point? You should have made yourself 30-something.

Go on and tell her now. The age thing probably won't be a big deal, but it might be that you lied.

i know how you feel. you gotta tell her as soon as possible....before you move in. if u tell her after shell feel decieved and like she cant trust u anymore. also, definatley mention youre sorry. if u ever think about not telling the truth about your age....dont. always tell the truth about things like tht. the person who u like will only like u better for telling the truth. if they dont like u better, theyre the wrong person. hope this helps!!! =]

Tell her now. Don't wait until she's "trapped" by the lease to let her in on your lie. She will be angry, but if the love is there, then she will forgive you and all will be well.
