you are allowed to have up to 300 mg of caffeine per day safely and it wont affect your baby in any way 300 mg is about 2 sodas per day or 3 glasses of ice tea. if you are an absolute coke junkie might i suggest caffeine free coke thats what i had to do with my son still has that same coke taste but not the caffeine. just make sure you are still drinking alot of water thats very important but for the most part just wtach your caffiene intake save your 2 sodas a day for the times when you really need them and good luck!!

I'm sure what you mean is that you want to drink something more healthy and kick the coke habit. LOL There was a comment made about drinking different flavors of coke...how does that help? Anyway caffeine free would help some, but that still means that you are drinking a lot of sugar, and diet is not any option while pregnant or nursing! My suggestion would be to try water with lemon or lime squeezed in it. The acidity in the citrus will help cut your craving, but it will still not be easy. If it is the carbonation that you crave try sparkling water.

first of all you can't drink diet coke. it has artifical sweeters. did anyone tell you the damage they do on the baby. birth defects. i am glad you don't like it and didn't drink it. it was the first thing, my doctor told. about coke, my doctor said that its fine, cause I had a lot of morning sickness and she suggested coke. But of course a glass, not a whole bottle and everyday. We can have some caffeine when we are pregnant, like a cup of coffee a day or a piece of chocolate but obviously in moderation.
Just try to control yourself. the problem is that the more coke you drink, the more you want. Honestly myself I can't stay without chocolate everynight in front of the Tv.
Good luck

You might just have to try really hard and give it up completely till your baby's born. Try investing in a smoothie maker and get some really nice smoothies. Like babana and rasberry. It'll be really healthy and great for you and the baby. Or you can just have the odd glass of coke and smoothies the rest of the time. What you do the 9 months you carry your baby can affect her whole life. It's not much to give up coke for alittle while if it'll help your baby long term

well girl I know its hard to break habbits but Coke and all soda are not good for you..let alone not good for your baby. The best thing you could do is drink juices and water. Try mixing different juices together, add some fruit and some nutritional powder to make a smoothie. Just dont buy Coke anymore and replace it with other things. Mind over matter!! It will only help you and your lil one!! Good luck to you and Congrats :)

I hear you loud and clear. I enjoy soda as much as you do. :) Try the caffine free coke. Then alternate between the caffine free and regular stuff. I read somewhere that if you crave soda you're going to have a boy. Don't know what you're having, if you even know, but I thought I'd throw in the odd bit of trivia. But, my dr told me I'm having a boy. We'll see in a couple weeks.

wow we dont have cherry coke right here. i like classic coke and intensely rarely vanilla coke. If i'm with my chum and we are paying for it we many times get coke 0 as a compromise by way of fact she likes eating regimen and that i like classic.

You're not suppose to drink anything diet while pregnant. Nutrisweets cause brain damage. I think you're just gonna have to stick to Coke .. What about cherry coke or adding different flavored syrups to it?

Caffeine free coke. And, I'm no doctor, but that much caffeine cannot be good for your baby!
