I completely agree with you. Sounds like you are a very mature young woman who is not allowing flitty little feelings get in the way with making wise choices in your life. Good for you! Your poor friends are probably just decieving themselves by their own feelings at the moment and you are right, setting themselves up for heartbreak.

Yes i think they use that word too freely......
Because your young, your not thinking right and most of all you are setting your heart for a major heartache.
It like you just started dating this guy less than two weeks and you already told him you loved him...huh...prepare to get your heart crushed....my opinion is that you can't start loving someone just like that.......
And from personal experiences young relationships don't work out because some times in life the two persons that's in the relationship for whatever reason has to go separate their ways, thats just the way life is........
I'm sorry for that girl in your grade she's going to have alot of heart ache..

My GOD, right on the mark! Many girls in my school do that too, you cant love someone the first day you go out with them, or the first month, nor the first 5 months really.

Oh yes... you seem much mature than your friends at school then. Sooner or later these other girls will learn what love actually is and (hopefully) not use the word so easily.

I think everyone uses the word "LOVE" too freely and too often. Read
I Corinthians 13 to see what love really is.
OH, I just LOVE pizza....huh?
I love tube tops...oh, really?
I love I love I love I love....
Overuse of the word is an epidemic.

They're just young and naive and can't tell the difference, between love, infatuation, and like ... Let them say it, at least you know the difference and look and sound intelligent.

It takes experience and maturity to know what love is.
Love is in actions as well as the heart.
Love shouldn't hurt.
