This is normal. He is missing his mom and littermates. Just comfort the poor little guy. He will be fine in a week or so.

He could be mourning the loss of his family, hounds are big sucks. I have a foxhound who is a pussy. Or, I doubt this is the case, he could be in pain. But I bet he is just bummed out. Spend a lot of time with him, play, walks, snuggles. He should be fine. I foster the occasional dog and I see a lot of separation anxiety. mastiffs360.com

yes, he misses his old family, keep him busy w/
toys, if it's nice out take him for a walk or to the park if you have a near by park in time he will get use to you & he won't whine anymore
