Of all the cats I've had (and there have been cats in my house since the day I was born), I'd take a neutered male any day. They have a tendency to be cuddlier and more people oriented than the females. The females tend to be bossier.

This question is like asking what sex of a child is better to have. The personality of each animal is different just like humans based on the treatment they receive and their mother receives. Kittens and cats will be loving, clever and playful if they've received lots of love and nurturing from the beginning of their life no matter what sex or age they are when you adopt them. If you adopted an older cat, who is a stray or from a shelter experience may have made them "skiddish" or fearful. With loving patience and affection even the most fearful of cats will come around. This may take days or years. Treat your pets the you would like to be treated. Some cats who have been abused may have eating, toileting and affection challenges. Cats see us as another larger cat. Within this relationship you may be seen as a sibling, parent, boyfriend, girlfriend or simply a companion. Never yell a cats name in anger, never spank or beat a cat who you think is being "naughty", NEVER rub a cats nose in his own urine or bowel movements. This form of discipline will only aggravate the situation. Never stare directly in to the eyes of a cat. They take this as a sign of aggression. If you look into a cats gaze blink your eyes slowly and deliberately. This is the same thing cats do when they are pleased and calm. Talk to your cat in a calm voice with a higher "sing song" voice inflection.NEVER declaw a cat. This can cause severe personality problems. Cats walk on their toes and this is where their uncanny sense of balance comes into play. They are the "ballerinas" of the animal world. Declawing as we know it today is done throught the amputation of the first knuckle on each toe. Imagine how terrible it would be for you to lose your fingertips! Cats understand more than you realize. Each has their own challenges and goals. My motto after years of being a feline friend, Peta member and cat whisperer is "Be good to your fur babies" remember a pet is for life not some toy you should dispose of when you grow tired of the care a pet requires.

when you like only few cats around you and seems like you are lazy to take care dozens of cats then it is better to choose a male gender than female.

When I got my cat the shelter told me that, in general, male cats tend to be more loving and affectionate, while females tend to be more stand-offish.
In my experience, my male cat has his moments where he is very affectionate and times he just wants to be left alone.

I don't think there is another gender. Boy & Girl, sounds like you got all the genders you can get.
Can't you tell which one is best?

It really doesn't matter. Get one with the personality you want, because cats all have random personalities.
