No. taking a cat to the vet is an event. Sorry, you're gonna have to deal with it. Imagine how they feel...taken out of their safety...into a moving vehicle....

I feel for you. I know it's annoying, but there is nothing you can do.

Some cats meow in the car, others don't. Meowing in the car is just their way of telling you that they are stressed.

Tranquilizers aren't a good idea, unless the cat really panics on drives and thrashes in his cage possibly hurting himself.

Just put on some soft music and try to focus on that. And obviously first and foremost focus on your driving.

If you are not the driver earplugs or music on a head set will drown out the meows.

I actually took mine out of the cage. Pumpkin would sit in the backseat and just watch. My blind cat once tried to get out at first and I have the scar on my cheek from that incident. Later after some practice and holding him he was looking out the front window like a puppy dog in the wind.
It is not recommended as safe. I just new my animals. Vets say use the pillow case. We never had far to go. Boo Boo learned to walk on a leash. They are amazing creatures if you have the time to teach them. Car trips are scary. Most just accept the noise. You can use treats after to help out. See what you think and others tips if they can help. Best of luck. Meowww.

Unlike dogs, cats HATE to be in cars. Just bear with it. If you're going on a long trip, you can see a vet and she/he will give you a sedative to keep them calm.

My husband and that i in simple terms moved 1200 miles, via motor vehicle. My cat (15 yrs. previous) hates motor vehicle rides and that i grew to become into petrified of ways he could react. we've a Chevy Crossover and that i positioned down the returned seats. positioned down a tarp and an previous blanket, his cat service (open door), a disposable litterbox, water and nutrition. Then I positioned him interior the service, yet with the door open he grew to become into waiting to flow around. I stored speaking to him and he finally calmed down, approximately 20 minutes into the experience. no longer being locked up helped plenty. He grew to become into waiting to get around, regardless of if it grew to become into constrained. We had little or no subject. We stopped after 0.5 the gap and spend the evening in a hotel the place he grew to become into waiting to discover. My vet had given me some pills to calm him down and you will ask your vet for the comparable. regrettably, they fairly plenty knock the cat out and that they are groggy for days. solid success.
